  • Dial-A-Ride Service is available by calling 916-745-7560 twenty-four hours in advance of your desired trip time. All Dial-A-Ride vehicles are wheel-chair accessible.
  • Health Express is a no-to-low-cost transportation service providing rides for Placer County residents to and from medically-related appointments. To obtain an application or more information call 530-889-9500.

The Town of Truckee offers both Fixed Route and Dial-A-Ride service in the Truckee area.

For ADA certified passengers fares are free on the Fixed Route and on the Dial-A-Ride

These services provide a range of options for travelers to access recreation, employment, shopping, and social service opportunities while helping our region’s environment.

Buses serve the Recreation Center, Regional Park, Downtown Truckee, Tahoe Forest Hospital and Medical Offices, Gateway Shopping Center, Crossroads Shopping Center, Donner State Park, and the west end of Donner Lake.

Truckee TART Dial-A-Ride door-to-door service is offered year round to the general public with priority service for seniors and persons with disabilities, and ADA certified riders. Hospitality House offers two transportation programs: Homeless Access Transport (HAT) and Older Adults Access Transport.

  • Both services are free and donations are welcome on the Older Adults Access Transport van.
  • Vans have lifts for wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
  • The service area is basically from the Brighton Greens Department of Social Services office in the south to the Rood Center in Nevada City in the north.

    • Eric Rood Administration Center - 950 Maidu Ave, Nevada City, CA 95959
  • A need for service beyond the Grass Valley and Nevada City area can be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Both services run 7 days a week from 9am-5pm.
