The California Department of Rehabilitation offers Vocational Rehabilitation services for Californians with disabilities and Student Services for students with disabilities.

You are eligible for DOR Vocational Rehabilitation services if you:
  • have a disability and want to work
  • are having trouble getting or keeping a job because of your disability
  • need services such as job placement, training, and/or other job preparation to help you get or keep a job, or advance in employment
To get DOR Student Services:
  • You must be a student (you need to be enrolled in school, but it's okay if you're on break or if school hasn't started yet).
  • You're between the ages of 16 and 21 (including 16 and 21).
  • At least one of these options is true:
    • You have a 504 Plan, or you’re eligible for one if you want one.
    • You have an IEP.
    • You have a disability.
    • Others think you have a disability.

The Women Veterans Call Center (WVCC) staff is trained to provide women Veterans, their families, and caregivers about VA services and resources.

If you have questions or can't find what you're looking for, you can call, text, or chat online with the Women Veterans Call Center (WVCC) at 855-829-6636 to get help and find available resources and services in your area. Trained women representatives can also:

  • Provide you with information on enrolling in VA health care if you have not already
  • Provide you with information on setting up a medical appointment in your area
  • Provide you with information about your eligibility (including questions about disability ratings) and other VA benefits like employment, education, and home loans
  • Connect you with your local VA Medical Center or local women's health contact who can assist in coordinating all the services you need

PRIDE Industries' youth services program helps youth with disabilities and those exiting foster care prepare for an independent adult life. These youth are often already at a disadvantage, and through this program, PRIDE provides individualized services and a mentoring relationship to help each individual address their unique educational and employment needs. Services include paid work experience, soft skills employment training, tutoring, employment placement assistance, and job coaching.
