* The word “doula” is often used to refer to a childbirth coach. But doulas can help when life ends too. An end-of-life doula is a nonmedical professional trained to care for a terminally ill person's emotional and spiritual needs during the dying process.

First Call Hospice provides end of life care to patients in familiar, comfortable and appropriate surroundings. Patients may receive hospice care in a variety of locations, including their home or a care center.
